The Civil Guard in Lanzarote has arrested three people, two of them minors, as alleged perpetrators of ten crimes of robbery with force, according to the armed institute in a statement. Since the beginning of this year, there have been incessant waves of thefts in different tourist areas of the island, so the agents began an investigation.

The criminals, according to the Civil Guard, "had been obsessed with punishing the conejero tourism sector, choosing tourist complexes, recreational centers and food stores in summer areas to carry out the robberies and other criminal acts." Thus, up to a dozen robberies were recorded in Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero.

The Civil Guard activated a device in August to clarify all these events and to know the modus operandi of these alleged thieves. Thus, the agents were on the trail of what they call an "organized group."

Finally, last Wednesday and, after viewing the security recordings of the affected premises, given that none of the criminal acts had the presence of witnesses, the agents in the investigation area of Tías, arrested three individuals. Specifically, they arrested J.I., and two minors. All of them are English and reside in Lanzarote.

The adult detainee was placed at judicial disposal, while the minors were placed in the custody of their legal guardians by order of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
