Three arrested in Arrecife accused of stealing two cars

Local Police sanction 25 drivers in various preventive controls carried out with radar last Monday

The National Police have arrested and brought to justice Domingo T.P., 36 years old, native and resident of Arrecife, as the alleged perpetrator of the theft, on September 9, of a Ford Fiesta brand vehicle that was parked on Santa María street in Arrecife, and to which he allegedly pried open one of its doors, making the so-called bridge in the ignition system.

Subsequent police investigations by the Local Brigade of the Scientific Police managed to identify him as the perpetrator of the act. The detainee has 7 previous arrests, almost all of them for crimes against property, the last of which was last August.

On the other hand, in another statement, the Local Police of Arrecife reports the arrest of N.A.H., a native of Arrecife, 41 years old, and J.C.R.B., a native of Puerto del Rosario, 38 years old, who were surprised in the Cuatro Esquinas area while driving the vehicle with license plate GC3007BK, which had been reported as stolen, which led to their arrest and the instruction of the appropriate police proceedings that, together with the two detainees, were placed at the disposal of the court.

Preventive controls

The Local Police of Arrecife also reports that in a recent preventive control in the area of Citizen Security, there were three seizures of narcotics and two dangerous objects were confiscated on public roads.

In addition, in another control carried out by radar last Monday at different points in the municipality, the agents of the capital's Police controlled a total of 330 vehicles, of which 21 were reported for speeding, 2 for not having a driver's license, one for driving without insurance and another for not presenting the ITV certificate.
