Three accidents with cyclists on the roads of Lanzarote

Three people have been injured, two cyclists and an occupant of one of the vehicles

Three people have been injured in several accidents involving cyclists on the roads of Lanzarote, as reported by CECOES.

In the first accident, the victim is a 49-year-old cyclist who was injured this Monday after a collision with a vehicle near the Tahiche road, in the municipality of Teguise.

The events took place at 10:59 a.m. and the victim had moderate injuries. Then, the woman was transferred in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

Apart from a unit of the Canary Emergency Service, the Civil Guard also went to the scene to carry out the corresponding report.

The second incident took place minutes earlier at the Valltera roundabout, in the municipality of Arrecife. According to CECOES, there was a collision between a car and a 30-year-old cyclist around 10:45 a.m.

In this case, it was one of the occupants of the vehicle, an 80-year-old woman, who was slightly injured. The woman had cervicalgia, so she needed medical assistance.

 

Accident on January 1

This Sunday, January 1, there was a hit-and-run of a 42-year-old cyclist, who was injured with minor injuries after being hit on the LZ-40 towards Puerto del Carmen.

Upon arriving at the scene, the paramedics around 11:00 a.m., verified that he had minor injuries and was transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital.

In addition to personnel from the Canary Emergency Service, agents of the Local Police also went to the scene, who carried out the corresponding report.
