On May 16, a man was arrested and subsequently imprisoned after attempting to rob a call center in the La Vega neighborhood of Arrecife. La Provincia has been able to access the video recorded by the establishment's camera showing how the moment was.

As can be seen in the images, the attacker entered with a cap and covering his face with a black shirt. He was with a knife in his hand and went straight to attack the owner of the establishment, who was carrying out his work day quietly as every day. "Give me the money," he insisted. At first, the owner of the establishment placed himself behind the store's bar to avoid being injured with the knife, while talking to the thief.

Immediately afterwards, the call center clerk tried to deceive the thief by making a movement and taking out a stool and a plastic bag, with which he protected himself from the impact of the knife. Seeing that the thief was pointing at him and trying to attack him with the knife, the man threw the chair at the attacker.

Finally, seeing the attacker scared, the merchant took the screen located next to the cash register with which he tried to confront the thief. Moment in which the attacker left the store and the owner went out to the street to locate him.

The merchant had to be treated for the injuries caused by the attacker, specifically a cut on one of his hands for which he required several stitches.
