Arrested for robbing a shop in Arrecife hooded and with a knife

The robber was located inside a bar near the shop where he had taken refuge. The judge has ordered his imprisonment.

Arrested in Arrecife for robbery with violence in a store

The National Police arrested a 40-year-old man with numerous police records on May 16 as the alleged perpetrator of a violent robbery and assault in the Vega neighborhood. After giving a statement, the judge ordered his immediate imprisonment.

According to the press office, uniformed and plainclothes officers who were in the area at the time quickly arrived at the scene, making it possible to immediately arrest the aforementioned robber. The alleged aggressor entered the shop with his face covered with a T-shirt and, after causing a cut on one of the shop assistant's hands when the latter tried to defend himself, fled, taking refuge in a bar near the shop, where National Police officers arrested him a few minutes later.

The shopkeeper, after the events, required several stitches. Once the perpetrator was arrested, a large knife was found during the security check. As a result, the National Police officers proceeded to his immediate arrest as the alleged perpetrator of a violent robbery and assault, and he was taken to police facilities for the continuation of the relevant procedures.

Once the police report was completed, he was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority, which ordered his imprisonment.
