A woman has reported the attack of a pit bull on several people in the town of Tías on Sunday afternoon. "It bit me three times," says this neighbor, who claims that the animal also attacked a man who was with two children.
"I was leaving my mother's house, heading to my car, and at that moment I saw a dog approaching me and I was already away from the house. What I did was not move, but it jumped, and then it attacked me and bit me," she told La Voz.
The affected woman, who says that the dog was "alone, loose and without a muzzle", did not suffer serious injuries, but believes that she was saved "because at that moment a rental car with some Italians passed by and they started honking".
"I saw that I had to get out of there, because it was a matter of life or death, and then I grabbed the dog by the collar, I don't know where I got the strength, I pulled it a little, which was already turning around to bite me, and I opened the back door of the car and got in," says this woman, who wanted to thank this couple, who says that they waited until the dog left and took her to her mother's house.
Assisted at the health center, where she met another injured person
After that, the affected woman says that she went to the health center, where they treated her wounds and gave her a tetanus shot. "The Local Police of Tías also came," she points out. And, in addition, she assures that she met another man there, who had also been attacked by the animal.
"This man was also with a stroller with a child and an eleven-year-old girl or something like that," says this woman, who claims that the dog "also bit" the man and that "the girl had torn pants, although it didn't do anything to her."
Apologies from the animal's owner
Later, the woman says that the dog's owner apologized to her and assured her that it had escaped from the house without him realizing it.
"And he asked me not to report it, but I told him that if I could, I was going to make it visible, because I believe that outdoor spaces have to be for walking and enjoying them all," she concluded.
