The motorcyclist who died on Monday night in Haría was a teacher at the Secondary Education Institute (IES) of Las Maretas in Arrecife.
The 54-year-old man, named Alejandro Máximo Coronet, was a teacher during the last academic year (2023-2024) at the IES San Juan de Haría. Meanwhile, this year he was working as a teacher at the Las Maretas institute, in the capital of Lanzarote.
The incident took place at 10:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10, on San Juan Street, in Haría. After the alert, the agents of the Local Police of the municipality went to the place and found the injured person in an unconscious state and in cardiorespiratory arrest.
At that moment, the local police began to resuscitate him. When the health personnel of the Canary Islands Emergency Service arrived at the area, who traveled in two ambulances, one medicalized and the other with basic life support, they continued with the resuscitation maneuvers without success.
