The investigation opened by the Civil Guard for the possible presence of minors at a boxing event held in Haría on October 13 has concluded with a complaint from the Benemérita to the Palenke Boxing School, the organizer of the event. The club faces an administrative sanction for these events that could carry a fine of more than 12,000 euros.
According to reports to La Voz from the Civil Guard, the complaint is based on a report from the Local Police, who that night identified eight minors among the public. A fact that the Benemérita considers a "serious infraction" according to the Comprehensive Care for Minors Law, which prohibits the entry of minors into establishments or premises where sports competitions or shows are held whose regulations contemplate the production of physical damage to any of the participants."
The regulations, according to the body, establish sanctions from 12,000 euros in these cases, although now it will be the General Directorate of Dependency, Childhood and Family that resolves and sets the amount, for which also takes into account "the degree of intentionality, the economic and social significance or recidivism".
It should be remembered that the City Council collaborated in the organization of this event, but has been exempt from responsibility because, according to the Civil Guard, the Security Plan of the Consistory stated that the access control to the event was the responsibility of the organizer, that is, of the Palenke Boxing School.
