The Civil Guard has arrested in recent days two people accused of various robberies in Tías. The detainees are a young man from Lanzarote, 22 years old, who allegedly committed a theft in a house, and a woman from La Coruña, who took advantage of her employment in some apartments in Puerto del Carmen to allegedly steal from customers.

The woman, 36 years old, whose initials are M.S.A., is accused of three crimes of robbery with force and a misdemeanor of theft. The events occurred in the Lomo Blanco apartments in Puerto del Carmen, as reported by this body through a statement.

According to the Civil Guard, this woman worked temporarily cleaning these apartments. Thus, she took advantage of her employment to access the interior of the rooms with the aim of stealing cash from inside the safes of the apartments. In addition, she allegedly stole other amounts of money from the drawers and wallets of the complex's clients, as well as clothing.

In total, according to the Civil Guard, the robberies amounted to approximately 2,000 euros. The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Guard and Instruction Court Number 1 of Arrecife.

Another detainee

In addition, another young man of 22 years old, native of Lanzarote, was arrested for a crime of robbery with force last Monday. The agents managed to arrest this man, accused of having committed a robbery inside a single-family home in Tías.

Thanks to citizen collaboration, the Civil Guard also managed to recover part of the stolen effects, valued at about 900 euros. The objects that had disappeared were a laptop and a mobile phone.

The detainee was also placed at judicial disposal.
