The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Costa Teguise arrested two men on June 12, with initials P.L.C.U. and M.J.G.C and 39 and 30 years old respectively - both natives of Lanzarote and with police records for crimes against property - as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force in things that occurred on the 9th in Famara. The arrested allegedly forced the window of an apartment, accessing its interior, from which they stole 200 euros in cash and a laptop valued at 1,350 euros

After the complaint filed on the day of the robbery by the victim, a foreign tourist, the Civil Guard began the relevant investigations, in this case by the agents of the Investigation Area, who were able to find out that a witness in the area observed a vehicle that matched a similar crime that occurred on the same day in the town of Macher, which facilitated the identification and arrest of the alleged perpetrators of the criminal offense investigated.

The stolen computer was recovered and delivered to its rightful owner after being found in a premises in Arrecife "frequented by drug addicts and where one of the detainees had left it", according to the Benemérita.

The Civil Guard continues with the investigations and does not rule out new arrests, since it affirms that there is sufficient evidence of the participation of a third person in the crime, carrying out a police search warrant for their location and arrest. The detainees have been placed at the disposal of the corresponding Court in charge of Arrecife.
