A young man between 35 and 38 years old of British nationality, suffered a serious accident this Wednesday afternoon while practicing kite-surfing. The athlete was in the area of La Playa de los Charcos, when he collided with the rocks. That area is difficult to access, so the firefighters had to reach him to leave him in another safe and more accessible place so that he could be assisted by the health services, as explained by Esteban García, manager of the Security and Emergency Consortium.
Once the boy was immobilized, the doctors determined that he had a trauma with an open wound to the head and a trauma to the chest, with a possible rib fracture. Although he was conscious while he was being treated. He was transferred in the SUC medicalized ambulance to Dr. Molina Orosa. At the hospital center it was verified that he suffered a head trauma as well as various contusions, determining a less serious condition
The Red Cross, the Fire Department, the SUC and the Civil Guard went to the scene of the accident.
