A resident living in the unfinished concrete skeletons of Villas Camelot, in the tourist town of Playa Blanca (Yaiza), has filed a complaint against the eviction company Lanzaokupa for allegedly vandalizing her car with the word "sapo" (which means snitch in Latin America) and slashing her tires

According to the complainant, she believes this vandalism against her car was **because she told the press about the situation** they are experiencing with this eviction company.

In the complaint, which La Voz has had access to, filed this Thursday in the Court of Instruction Nº 2 of Arrecife, it is stated that on Wednesday night "Lanzaokupa workers painted the word 'sapo' on the car with spray paint and punctured two of the tires".

Specifically, it holds this company responsible because "a content creator who accompanies them **published a video with the car's license plate** on her social media."

In these unfinished villas, twelve families are struggling to survive amid the serious situation of finding affordable rental housing in Lanzarote. These residents have already filed more than a dozen complaints with the Civil Guard regarding the practices of Lanzaokupa workers. Threats and physical assaults against these residents have become common in this company's modus operandi to pressure them into abandoning this tourist skeleton.

In addition, these residents have also reported that two Lanzaokupa workers slashed some plastic pools they had bought and used to store drinking water

Complaints from other nearby residents about this skeleton

One of the neighbors who lives in a house near these unfinished villas has told La Voz about the nuisance from noise and insecurity they feel due to Lanzaokupa's actions. "What they do is horrible because they set off fireworks at night, they talk through megaphones, and one has to work the next day and we can't sleep," she states.

This neighbor, who has a three-year-old son, reports that "the child lives in fear because the noise of the fireworks echoes through the windows." She also points out that these workers "make bonfires" and the smoke enters the houses."They are abusing people, they don't respect anyone's sleep... there are many tourist accommodations in the area and the clients are complaining about this situation," he concludes
