Pre-alert declared for wind in Lanzarote

The Government of the Canary Islands, based on the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency, expects strong gusts during the early hours of this Tuesday

The Emergency Department of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared a pre-alert situation on six islands of the Archipelago due to the strong wind. Among them, Lanzarote.

Thus, according to the declaration signed by the on-call technician, Lanzarote, El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma, Tenerife and Fuerteventura expect strong gusts from the early hours of this Tuesday, November 21, without specifying the end date.

From 00.00 hours this Tuesday, Lanzarote will suffer maximum gusts of between 50 and 60 kilometers per hour, especially on its southwest slope. However, during tomorrow, the southeast wind is expected to increase and continue to lash the eastern slope of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
