One of the alleged perpetrators of the robbery with assault that took place over the weekend on Calle Real in Arrecife has already been arrested by the National Police.
His arrest occurred on the afternoon of last Monday, three days after the robbery took place, of which La Voz witnessed and was able to record images. It was carried out by three young men, who cornered a man on the street, beat him in the face and stole his wallet.
"They robbed me and just broke my lip," declared the victim, after the young men fled the scene after being warned by the photographer of La Voz that he had called the Police. In addition to assaulting and robbing the man, one of them also threw a glass bottle towards where the photographer was before leaving the area.
After that, the National Police went to the scene and began a search for the perpetrators of the robbery, but it concluded without success. However, La Voz put the images of what happened in their hands, initiating an investigation, which for now has allowed the arrest of one of the young men, while work continues to identify and locate the other two.
As for the man's wallet, as already reported, it was located shortly after the robbery in the vicinity.
