A man was injured on Monday night after a traffic accident on the LZ-10, at the entrance to Las Cabreras, in the town of Tahíche. The incident occurred at around 10:18 p.m., when two vehicles collided, according to the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium.

The accident occurred while Consortium personnel were on their way to inspect bonfires for San Juan's Eve. Upon encountering the accident, they proceeded to provide assistance. The occupant of the vehicle that crashed was already out of the car, lying on the ground, and was being attended to at the scene.

The Local Police of Teguise were regulating traffic in the area, and the presence of a specific Consortium vehicle was requested due to the involvement of an electric car, which required special safety measures. Once the electrical system was disconnected, the Civil Guard —already present at the scene— authorized the removal of the vehicle by the crane.

The Canary Emergency Service (SUC) was in charge of evacuating the injured man, whose condition has not been revealed, although he was treated at the scene before being transferred to a health center. Once the security and assistance tasks were completed, the teams continued with the inspection work planned for that night.
