A 38-year-old man was arrested on the 18th while fleeing after committing a robbery in a house, according to the Arrecife Local Police. The events occurred on Pío Baroja street in broad daylight, at 4:00 p.m. The individual, who responds to the initials M.B.A., was surprised by the agents of the Local Police of Arrecife, who proceeded to arrest him, as reported by the City Council through a statement.
After receiving the notice that a theft was taking place, the agents went to the scene. There, several citizens indicated that they had seen a man, of Moroccan nationality, stealing a bicycle from inside a house. A neighbor tried to stop the thief, but he took out a large screwdriver and, after a struggle, fled.
The police launched a search of the area in search of the perpetrator of the robbery and managed to reach him on Dolores Ibarruri street. The thief admitted to the authorship of the events, so he was arrested and transferred to police headquarters.
