Five people have been arrested by the National Police for the fight that resulted in several young people injured in Arrecife in the early morning of September 4.

The arrests took place on the 11th, a week after the brawl took place, which, as La Voz reported, took place on Avenida de Naos. The arrested are five men between 22 and 29 years of age and were arrested as alleged perpetrators of various crimes of serious injury.

Specifically, the fight took place outside the Bar El Muellito, where the National Police went the same night, after being alerted to the brawl. In this regard, although it was initially reported that there were two injured, the police force has confirmed that there were three. One of them, the most serious, had to be transferred to the Doctor Negrín Hospital in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where he underwent surgery on his nose and jaw, as they were fractured. However, this 17-year-old has already been discharged last week, as confirmed to La Voz by his family.

"They went to kill my son," said the mother of this young man after the fight, before the arrests, in which she demanded that "justice" be done and gave her testimony of what happened.

As for the other injured, the National Police have stated that they had moderate injuries. Of these, one was an 18-year-old who had a head injury and also required hospital admission at the Molina Orosa in Lanzarote, although two days later he was "at home", according to the mother of the young man who had to be transferred to Gran Canaria.
