Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon, January 6, in a home located on Seña Lorenza street, in the municipality of Tinajo, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The alert was received at 1:55 PM, initially mobilizing personnel from the South and Central stations with vehicles Bravo 2, Bravo 5, and Eco 2. During the response, emergency services were informed that the fire was located in a battery room on the rooftop of the building and that several residents were attempting to extinguish it.
Upon the firefighters' arrival, abundant smoke and flames were observed, so the fire was immediately extinguished using jet and spray water. Subsequently, personnel from the Central Station joined the operation, assisting in the extinction and securing of the area.
Once the fire was controlled and after carrying out removal tasks to prevent possible flare-ups, the service was declared finished. No personal injuries were reported, although material damage did occur in the affected area of the dwelling
