A 54-year-old man was surprised this Wednesday while throwing debris in an urban area in Arrecife, according to police sources.

Agents of the Citizen Action Operational Group (GOAC) imposed a sanction for the uncivil attitude. Therefore, the offender residing in the capital was sanctioned immediately.

According to Law 1/1999 on Waste in the Canary Islands, the fines range from 30,050.6 euros, the most serious, to 3005.6 euros, the mildest.

In addition, the agents of the capital recall that they continue to sanction those who carry out discharges and fail to comply with the regulations. Remember that in recent months the Local Police has opened several sanctioning files for similar discharges in the capital of the island.

It is not the first sanction that is made effective in Arrecife. A month ago, a citizen was also fined for depositing belongings on public roads in the capital. The person in charge had left furniture and two batteries on the street, so he faced a sanction of up to 30,050 euros.
