A helicopter from the GES has been mobilized to the municipality of Haría to try to locate a hiker in distress who is in an area of difficult access. As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) to La Voz, the alert was received at 8:45 a.m. this Tuesday, although the hiker had actually been lost since last night.
The events took place between the towns of Haría and Órzola. Initially, the hiker does not appear to be injured, but rather has ended up in an area of difficult access that has prevented him from continuing his journey on foot. For the moment, the Emergency services are trying to reach him.In addition to the GES helicopter, the Haría Local Police and firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium have also been deployed to the area
This incident would be added to that of another young woman, who was rescued this past Monday with hypothermia in Montaña Blanca, in the municipality of San Bartolomé, after being unable to continue on her own.
