A young woman was rescued this Monday, December 22, in a rugged area of Camino de las Rosas, in Montaña Blanca, within the municipality of San Bartolomé, after being unable to continue on her own.
According to the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, the alert was received early in the morning, activating the Central Park with the Romeo 1 resource, in a service categorized as level 1 mountain rescue. During the deployment, the personnel contacted the affected person, who reported that she could not walk and suffered from diabetes.
Once at the location, emergency services found the woman, who was requesting help from an area that was difficult to access. Rescuers confirmed she was showing symptoms of early hypothermia, so they proceeded to safely evacuate her to the Romeo vehicleSubsequently, the young woman was transferred to an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Services (SUC), where she was administered oxygen and medical personnel were informed of her condition. After completing the intervention and transfer to medical services, the Consortium declared the service concluded
