A vehicle crashed into a lamppost on Coronel Benz street, near the Central Park of Arrecife, early this Sunday morning.
The accident left the structure damaged and with the risk of the lampshade falling, which forced the activation of a security device in the area.
The notice occurred at 02:12 hours and, immediately, agents of the Local Police came to control traffic and avoid risks to drivers. At the same time, the firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium intervened to disconnect the lamppost, remove the fuse and then dismantle the lampshade, which threatened to come off.
The action, classified as level 2, concluded without injuries and allowed to restore normality on the road once the street furniture was secured.
