The Civil Guard of San Bartolomé de Lanzarote arrested on March 30 a 46-year-old man with numerous police records against property for the theft of a van and 27,000 euros that were inside it, as well as two mobile phones, one of them in another robbery.

The events occurred on the aforementioned day, when the victim left the van, belonging to a company dedicated to the operation of recreational machines, parked and with the keys in the Playa Honda industrial estate. Inside was 27,000 euros in cash, this being the money from the company's exchange for the various establishments on the island.

It so happens that the van was recovered by National Police officers in Arrecife moments later, with a safe containing 27,000 euros in cash and a mobile terminal missing from the interior.

After that, the agents of the Investigation Area of the Civil Guard of San Bartolomé carried out the appropriate investigations with the study of the images and the ocular technical inspection, which led them to the identification of the perpetrator of the events, proceeding to his arrest in Arrecife.

With this arrest, the agents also clarified a second crime of theft, as the same man was identified for the theft of a mobile terminal from the counter of a telephone store located in a Shopping Center in Playa Honda.

For all these acts against property, both the detainee and the proceedings were handed over to the Arrecife Court of Instruction on duty.
