The Civil Guard arrested S.N.R.T. this Monday, accused of attempted homicide, for allegedly stabbing another woman seven times in La Graciosa. The arrest of this woman, of foreign nationality and with no criminal record, took place at 11:55 PM.
The detainee was transferred to the Civil Guard post in Costa Teguise, where the Scientific Police unit has taken charge of this investigation. Apparently, the motives behind this aggression could be related to passion.
According to what several witnesses have explained to La Voz, the victim was sitting near the Church with two family members at around 9:30 PM. Suddenly, another woman appeared, who allegedly stabbed her seven times.
Two of the stabs reached her lung and kidney, according to the delegate councilor of La Graciosa, Alicia Páez. Precisely for that reason, she was quickly transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, in Arrecife, where she underwent emergency surgery.
This event has shocked the island, as both women are well known, because they both work in supermarkets. One of them, the victim, is originally from La Graciosa, while the alleged aggressor is of foreign nationality, although she has been living on this island for many years.
