A young woman has reported being attacked by a boy in Arrecife: "He punched me in the face," says Engracia Mba de León, who had to be assisted at the Molina Orosa Hospital after the events, which took place around 07:00 on Sunday, near the Arrecife bus station.
According to the young woman, she had previously been "partying" in the esplanade of the Fairgrounds, where the alleged aggressor was also present, whom she says she knows because he used to be "a friend" of her brother. In fact, she claims that at one point in the night, before he attacked her, she was talking to him. "I had a good conversation with him, advising him to talk to my brother and telling him that things could be solved, that they could get along again," she explained in statements to La Voz.
Later, she says that she began to see that "the atmosphere was a bit heated" because there were "people arguing" and that she then wanted to leave. In fact, in the complaint she filed with the National Police, she points out that there was "a strong fight between several people", although she "was not injured or had anything to do with it".

Once this brawl ended, she points out that a friend with whom she was at that moment told her that "he had left his phone inside the vehicle" of the alleged aggressor, "which had already started and was leaving the esplanade". Thus, she says that her friend "ran after him" to reach him and that she followed him "more calmly" until she reached the height of the alleged aggressor's car and observed how her friend "was arguing with another young man".
"I ran, scared, and approached this person directly and said: look, you should have left this guy the phone, get in the car and leave, because that way you wouldn't have been hit, because it turns out that what there was was a fight," the young woman added in her account to La Voz.
"I started seeing a lot of blood and I fell unconscious"
After that, she claims that the boy started "insulting" her, although that part is not included in the complaint. "He started saying a lot of things to me, messing with my race too," says Engracia, who assures that the young man finally threw "a punch to the face", causing her to fall to the ground, a fact that has been reported.
"Then I got up, but I started seeing a lot of blood and I have the tendency that if I see a lot of blood I faint and I fell unconscious", says the young woman, who claims that the National Police and an ambulance later showed up at the scene, but that by then her attacker "had fled".

According to her, after that she was transferred by ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital, where she was "under observation" until 3:30 p.m. There, they gave her an injury report, which stated that she had "a hematoma in the nasal maxillary region". In addition, she had a CT scan, although no further injuries were observed.
After leaving the hospital, she claims that she learned that the young man who had attacked her had made several publications on social networks, which she considered to be "a threat" and that "he was laughing" at her. In one of them, which the young woman has sent to La Voz, she showed a hand with wounds on the knuckles with the message "I didn't decide it", while in another someone was seen "with a gun".

Finally, on Sunday night, the young woman reported the events to the National Police, although she only stated the physical assault, without mentioning either the insults she claims she received or the publications she says her alleged aggressor made on social networks.
Cross complaints
According to La Voz, her alleged aggressor has already been identified but has not been arrested at the moment. In addition, he has also filed a complaint against her, after the young woman's environment also resorted to social networks to denounce the aggression.
"He has denounced me because he says that I have sent people to his house after everything, that they are insulting him..." says Engracia. "Besides, he says that I hit him first," says the young woman, who denies that she attacked the boy.
