Agents of the Local Police of San Bartolomé, who were on surveillance in Playa Honda on January 29, received a call from the Civil Guard to go to Chimidas Street 16, apartment 7, because there was a quite disturbed individual destroying the interior of the house.

According to police sources, R.G.C.'s roommates requested police assistance because a roommate was in the house destroying everything.

The agents then accessed the house, finding R.G.C. with several cuts on his hand and wounds on his face, who told them that he had had an argument with his roommates, that he had become upset and that he had destroyed the entire house.

Only a few minutes later, fire began to come out of the upper floor, with the agents having to proceed to evacuate the house and notifying the fire to the firefighters.

The agents requested reinforcements from the Local Police and the Civil Guard, also evacuating the neighbors of the adjoining houses, with the firefighters taking charge of the fire.

R.G.C. was arrested in Playa Honda, for an alleged crime of damage, assault and threats, being immediately informed of the constitutional rights that assist him in accordance with the provisions of article 520.2 of the Criminal Procedure Law.

After being transferred to the General Hospital of Lanzarote for the healing of the wounds, he went to the premises of the Local Police of San Bartolomé, where the relevant procedures were instructed.

It was during the performance of these procedures when the detainee began to get upset, banging his head against the wall and offering strong resistance to the agents, whom he also insulted, later passing to the disposition of the Judicial Authority.
