A fire broke out on Monday afternoon in a cafeteria located on the Central Avenue of Tías. As a result of the fire, a 36-year-old woman had to be transferred to the Tías health center, as she had mild smoke inhalation poisoning.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:14 p.m., when the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112 received a notice alerting them to a fire in a Tías cafeteria.
Personnel from the Security and Emergency Consortium, Local Police, Civil Guard, Civil Protection, the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Rescue Group, as well as an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), were dispatched to the scene.
The fire department was in charge of controlling the fire until it was extinguished, while the police forces guaranteed security in the area and access to emergency resources. The SUC attended to the injured woman and transferred her to the Tías health center.
