A 68-year-old Dutch woman died this Tuesday after being hit by a bus in the Timanfaya National Park. The event took place around 11:00 a.m. Once the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands was alerted, communicating the accident, 1-1-2 activated the necessary emergency resources.
The SUC health personnel moved in a medicalized ambulance but upon arriving at the scene they could only certify her death.
The Local Police collaborated in assisting the victim. The Traffic Civil Guard, for its part, took charge of the corresponding proceedings with the judicial authority.
