Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium extinguished a fire in a house located on Santiago Amón street in Arrecife in the early hours of this Friday. The house was burned down as a result of the flames and was sealed off by the National Police.
After being alerted by the Cecoes at around 02:50 hours, the firefighters went to the scene of the fire, where the Local Police were already present, and found that the fire had spread throughout the two-story house. Thus, they proceeded to extinguish it with atomized water, attacking from the entrance to the living room and the upper floor from the facade at first.
Later, the firefighters entered the house, attacking the fire room by room and at the same time verifying that there were no people inside. Likewise, the adjoining house and the one located at the rear of the building were checked and inspected.
Once extinguished, the house was ventilated to eliminate smoke and toxic gases from the interior. Later, it was inspected, the facade was cleaned, remains of window slats were collected and the house was sealed off by the National Police.
