A drone paralyzed the operation of the Fuerteventura airport for about an hour, even forcing a flight that took off from Manchester bound for the island of Majorera to be diverted to the César Manrique - Lanzarote airport.
According to air traffic controllers from their Twitter profile, the operation of the Majorera airport was paralyzed for about an hour. In addition, as reflected in the radar, two planes were waiting at the head of the runway for that entire time - about sixty minutes - to receive permission to take off.
After the situation was resolved, and it was verified that the drone was no longer flying around the vicinity of the airport, operations returned to normal in Fuerteventura.
