The Cabildo of Lanzarote has presented the seventeenth edition of the Visual Music Festival of Lanzarote, an event that will bring international artists to the island with a cutting-edge proposal that integrates new music and the island's volcanic landscape into a single show, between October 11 and 19.

The Culture Councilor, Alberto Aguiar, has described this proposal as "extraordinary" "which returns to the most unique scenic spaces of Lanzarote after two years of absence due to the health crisis."

The program includes 11 concerts "that will highlight the great capacity for symbiosis that exists between the natural and landscape heritage of Lanzarote and avant-garde music," added Aguiar.

"It is also one of the oldest music festivals on the Canary Islands scene and one of the first in the world dedicated to new music. It is our obligation and our vocation to attend to all types of cultural records, but we believe that this proposal fits perfectly with both the best values we want for our island and those sensations that we try to transmit when we try to define it," concluded the councilor.

For his part, the director of the Festival, Ildefonso Aguilar, expressed that these cultural days "represent a tribute to the music and the natural and patrimonial environment of Lanzarote."
