The Christmas Island continues touring the municipalities of Lanzarote bringing the songs of these upcoming holidays. On the afternoon of last Friday the vocal Group El Cribo, belonging to the mental health association, took their music and songs to Mancha Blanca in the municipality of Tinajo.
Once the celebration of the Eucharist, presided over by the parish priest, Francisco José García, was over, the members of El Cribo, led by Professor Arnold Bonilla, presented a repertoire typical of Christmas. Popular carols with some arrangements carried out by the director himself such as Christmas Canarian, The Bells Never Sound, Niño del Alma and Santa Claus, songs that were highly applauded by the public.
At the end of his performance, the parish priest shared a few minutes with them and congratulated them on the concert. The president of El Cribo, Rosi González, was very satisfied, positively valuing the intervention of the choral group because for the members, among whom there are also some patients, it is a very positive therapy that helps them a lot to overcome fear, making it easier for them to achieve a psychic balance and a better integration into society.
The association El Cribo, which has celebrated 30 years since its creation in Lanzarote, from the board of directors continues to demand care resources for people with mental health problems without family support with significant deterioration due to other associated pathologies and who need to be cared for comprehensively 24 hours a day.
