Social Welfare of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, coordinated by Marci Acuña, in collaboration with the Teguise City Council has organized the concert of the Canarian composer Sara Socas on the occasion of International Women's Day.

The performance Concierto Tour 2024 of the young artist will be held this Friday, March 8, at 9:00 p.m. in the Family Park of Tahíche and will have free access, so it is expected to have a great reception, especially among the youngest public.

The Minister of Social Welfare, Marci Acuña, explains that "from the Cabildo we join the commemoration of 8M with a wide program of activities to claim the role of women in our society and gender equality. However, one of the most anticipated events will be the concert of the Tenerife composer Sara Socas, a young woman who attracts the attention of thousands of young people around the world for her vindictive lyrics in favor of feminism and self-love."

Sara Socas, who has managed to stand out in freestyle rap, became known worldwide in 2019 after a battle of roosters against the Mexican rapper Rapder. Socas faced misogynistic rhymes but responded by maintaining her composure, a fact that went viral.

During the concert this Friday in Lanzarote, you can enjoy a Sara who remains true to her principles with a base of rap, but also adding reggaeton and even electronic rhythms in her new songs.

On the other hand, and prior to the concert, the Island Council has organized a meeting between young people from the island and Sara Socas that will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Cabildo at 11:30 a.m. and where the journalist María de los Ángeles González will engage in a conversation with the artist to discover new aspects about her musical career, as well as the future challenges of this promising artist.
