The Original Wailers return to Europe four years after their last performance. And it does so with Albert Al Anderson, the guitarist who accompanied Bob Marley between 1975 and 1980, the time of maximum splendor of the Jamaican musician who became a legend of reggae and the Rastafarian movement and a spiritual and political icon.
The Original Wailers will land on the stage of the Jameos del Agua Auditorium at 8:00 p.m. next Friday, July 14 with a show full of energy and reggae rhythm that transports the public to the roots of Jamaican music and immerses them in a transcendental experience.
In addition to paying tribute to Marley by performing some of his songs, The Original Wailers will also present their own creations that reflect the evolution of their sound and their influence on the reggae scene in the 21st century. Their repertoire covers a wide range of emotions and themes, from messages of peace and love to reflections on struggle and resistance.
The Original Wailers was founded in 2008. Their first album, Miracle (2012), was nominated for best reggae album at the Grammy Awards that year.
