Citizens of all ages were able to enjoy several hours of music aimed at all ages and designed for the whole family in Arrecife. Last Friday, thousands of people gathered at El Reducto Beach to enjoy the performances of Javi Fajardo, Ale Ossorio, Abián Reyes, Ray Castellano, and Supersonikka.
In addition, this Saturday, artists such as CZ Rap, Treintytantos, Fran Baraja, and the popular group Efecto Pasillo have performed in the Parque Islas Canarias since 12:00 p.m. Other activities have been added, such as a moderate clay workshop, DJ workshop, textile painting, skateboard customization, glitter bar, and rap workshop.
In addition, this Saturday afternoon, starting at 6:00 p.m., performances by Carlos Chavaud, Tatiana Delalvz, Carlos Jean, Beret, and Ledes Díaz are scheduled.
The City Council refocused this second edition for the whole family with activities during the morning and afternoon in the Parque Islas Canarias and on El Reducto beach.
Arrecife is hosting activities and concerts this weekend. The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, and the Councilor for Tourism, Commerce, and Sports, Eli Merino, have emphasized that with this new approach, all activities are carried out alternatively in the Parque Islas Canarias and the El Reducto Beach area, in the morning, afternoon, and will conclude around 11:30 p.m., with the last musical concerts each night.
Arrecife Summer Fest features a lineup of artists such as Beret, Efecto Pasillo, Carlos Jean, Rey Castellano, Tatiana Delalvz, and Treintaytantos. There are also performances in a commitment to Canarian talent, with a session dedicated to DJs, Abián Reyes, Ledes Díaz, Cz, Ale Ossorio, Javi Fajardo, and Carlos Chavaud.
Efecto Pasillo, which starred last autumn, through a promotional initiative of the Arrecife City Council, the recording of their video clip in Arrecife scenarios, with the collaboration of the singer Rosana, has returned to this city. The song, which they will perform in their capital concert, was released coinciding with the acts of the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Arrecife.
The festival, promoted directly by the Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Tourism, has in this 2024 edition, where the city commemorates the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality, two stages on the maritime front to boost the capital of Lanzarote: Parque Islas Canarias and the recently opened pedestrian promenade next to El Reducto beach.
The mayor, Yonathan de León, has highlighted that from the City Council "we are investing in the revitalization of Arrecife. The data on commercial openings, new jobs, and the commitment of entrepreneurs to the capital, reflect that we are on the right track. The new employment registered is linked to the leisure, commerce, hospitality, and tourism sectors. Having a lively and dynamic city attracts the public, which generates more consumption and local spending capacity."
Yonathan de León highlighted that in this edition, artists perform that make our city an ideal destination to enjoy the summer. The Municipal Government of Arrecife has decided to bet once again on this festival, through Turismo Arrecife.
Eli Merino has emphasized that, after the success of last year, where more than 20,000 people attended, this year the festival is extended to these consecutive days and with a more family-friendly approach. Performances have been scheduled in the morning, afternoon, and evening so that all members of the family can enjoy the activities and concerts.
