The direction of the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote continues with the programming corresponding to the V Cycle of Classical Concerts of Arrecife dedicated to "Illustrious Canarians". Last Thursday, the concert No. 4 dedicated to the Doctor and President of the Republic, Juan Negrín López, was held at the Civic Center of Arrecife.
The act began with the introduction of Dr. José Luis Sánchez who made a brief review of the life and work of Dr. Negrín and later introduced the invited artists.
On this occasion it was the duo formed by the violinist, Iya Zhmaeva and the pianist, Javier Díaz. Both interpreted the work of Los Cantos Canarios by the composer Teobaldo Power, continuing with a work by the composer Brahms, followed by three works by Spanish composers. As the professor and pianist, Javier Díaz, explained, this music was part of the political scene that marked the president, Juan Negrín López. The concert ended with the Sonata for violin and piano La M 2nd movement by the French composer Gabriel Fauré, mentioning the place that Negrín chose for his exile outside of Spain.

During the concert, some unpublished photographs were also projected that were provided by the Juan Negrín Foundation.
As explained by the manager of the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote, Roberto Fuentes, the concerts have been developed with all the guarantees complying with the current legislation in the number of spectators, use of masks and the corresponding gel.
