For the members of Teguey, it was the first time since its foundation that they participated with their music and songs in the celebration of the Eucharist. At 11:30 a.m. last Sunday, under the musical direction of Professor Leo García Corujo, they began with the introduction song, a classic of Canarian Christmas carols: "Lo Divino". At the moment of the distribution of Communion, their tuned voices sounded again, interpreting three new Christmas carols, all with Canarian roots. Teguey, on the occasion of the Christmas festivities, has put aside the extensive repertoire of songs of its own production in order to sing the most typical Christmas carols of these festivities.
After the celebration of the Eucharist, the parish priest Nicanor Bermúdez invited them to continue singing some more Christmas carols. The request was accepted, counting on this occasion with the complicity of the parishioners, who, very animated, supported them with their palms, which in the end turned into a prolonged applause, thus thanking them for their magnificent performance.
