The family of the Los Campesinos Folk Group offered their 'Song to Lanzarote' concert in Teguise this Thursday.
Although it was framed within the programming of the Timple House-Museum, the Santo Domingo Convent was chosen as the stage this time, in order to accommodate the 20 members of the instrumental group who, directed by Carmelo Pérez, performed some of the compositions included in their latest album 'From Lanzarote'.
The concert began with the Zaranda del Viento, continuing with seguidillas, folias, malagueñas and the Isa del Cabrero. As we are already at the door of Christmas, Los Campesinos presented the audience, on this occasion a total of 40, with some Christmas carols with Canarian roots such as 'Lo Divino', 'Ven Conmigo', 'Ha nacido un Niño' and 'Pastorcitos, ending with 'Los tres Reyes Magos'.

During the concert, the applause of a devoted audience did not stop. David García, a member of the instrumental group, was in charge of making each of the introductions to the compositions, ensuring that the attendees had much more information about them.
The director of Los Campesinos, Miguel Ángel Corujo, was very satisfied with the performance of the family and at the same time very hopeful that Los Campesinos can return in full very soon, including the dance troupe, to take the traditional songs and dances of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands to all the stages.
