Ismael Lozano presented his third novel last Friday. 'The Legend of Gara and Jonay', based on the love story that narrates the Guanche legend of the princess of Agulo and the son of the Mencey. The work is the third by the author, but it is also the first of Editorial Siete Islas, a new publishing label founded by Lozano himself that was born a few months ago in Lanzarote with the aim of hosting "new stories by still unknown authors."
During the presentation, which took place at La Pepa Food Market in Marina Lanzarote in Arrecife, the author of 'The Legend of Gara and Jonay' told the ins and outs of the publication of his third romantic novel. "We are looking for novels that excite us, that make us feel, discover small literary gems that make us remember why we love reading. We want to give an opportunity to those authors who have written a special work, but do not have enough voice to be heard in the current publishing market. We flee from commercial successes and embrace emotions and feelings," Lozano explained about the publishing house.

The author of 'The Siren of Famara' and 'The Island of the Sleeping Dragons' is accompanied in this new project by a group of independent professionals, who have shaped this new firm, which they define as "made in Lanzarote", and which has started "with great force with the edition and distribution of 'The Legend of Gara and Jonay'". The novel was already taking off last week in the island market, but the intention of the publisher is to also distribute it throughout the archipelago and the peninsula in the coming months.
In addition, Lozano's new work also has a book trailer, in which Itahissa Lasso and Valentín Díaz give life to the characters in the novel inspired by the Guanche legend of La Gomera. The protagonists of that video presentation of the novel, which is available on networks and in which the Cabildo de La Gomera has collaborated, also attended the presentation.
