Haría enjoyed a night full of traditions in which Los Diablos, the burning of Don Facundo, the bonfire and the fireworks were not lacking.
The day began on the stage set up in the town square with full capacity. First, the City Council recognized several sports clubs for their successes this season. This was the youth team of the Unión Norte Wrestling Club, the cadet team of the Haría Football Club and the women's team of the Haría La Vuelta Arriba Basketball Club.
Later, the Haría Award ceremony began, where the award was presented to Óscar Vladimir Ramos Afonso, for his contribution to the municipality's sport and for his extraordinary versatility as a player and coach at the Haría Football Club. The excited footballer accepted the award and wanted to thank the City Council and all those who supported him throughout his career.
Once the award was presented, Domingo Rodríguez El Colorao, accompanied on guitar by Adrián Niz, and soloists Manuel Estupiñán and Fabiola Fernández provided the musical part of the event. The attendees enjoyed the performance and even asked for an encore that they were happy to play.
The act ended with the projection of a video that traced the history of Los Diablos, who are celebrating 30 years of existence in 2024. Los Diablos surprised the residents by appearing from different places and corners of the square with their flares, making the night even more special.
After the event in the square, the hundreds of Lanzarote residents went to the site where Los Diablos perform their particular dance every year, which ends with the burning of Don Facundo, followed by a fireworks display that illuminated the town.
