The Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) has authorized this Saturday the use of the 'Covid certificate' in establishments and spaces for public use in the archipelago that had been requested by the regional government.
The Ministry of Health presented this week the request for the justice to endorse the 'Covid certificate' after the work done by the regional Executive and agreed in meetings with economic and business sectors.
In this regard, the Superior Court of Justice explained that it was the Administrative Litigation Chamber at its headquarters in Las Palmas that received the request last Wednesday, having a period of 72 hours to rule on it, a period that was met this Saturday.
Regarding the operation of the 'Covid certificate', the Minister of Health, Blas Trujillo, pointed out when he announced that the order would be sent to the TSJC that it will be voluntary for businesses and that there are no limits on activities or whether they are indoors or outdoors.
Thus, the measure would be in force until January 15 for the case of those responsible for establishments that require the public that comes to their premises to undergo voluntary control.
In that case, it will be possible to operate with the limitations of a lower level of alert that each island has at that time --in the case of Fuerteventura, which is at level 3, it would do so at level 2; and the rest of the islands, which are at level 1, the shops would be subject to the restrictions of their activity--.
