The 19-year-old, native of Gran Canaria and engineering student, accused of a presumed homicide for eventual intent, was released after paying a bail of 6,000 euros.
The alleged author of the punch that caused Isaac Trujillo to fall to the ground and hit his head will not enter prison, since his family already paid the bail of 6,000 euros that was set by the magistrate of the Court of Instruction No. 1 of the capital of Tenerife.
This has been confirmed to EFE by the young man's lawyer, Javier Santana, whose client is being investigated for a crime of intentional homicide, while the second person arrested in relation to this death has been released provisionally, in his case related to a crime of injury, as reported by the Superior Court of the Canary Islands.
The first of the detainees, 19 years old, has been imposed as precautionary measures the withdrawal of his passport and the obligation to appear in court every fifteen days.
Isaac T., born in Gran Canaria but residing in Lanzarote, died in the early hours of Tuesday while being transferred to a hospital in Tenerife after suffering a strong blow to the head, apparently during a brawl.
Meanwhile, the second person who was arrested is being investigated for a crime of injury. This defendant, also a native of Gran Canaria and resident in Lanzarote, has been released provisionally.
