The National Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have arrested two people for their alleged involvement in the death of Isaac Trujillo, the young man from Gran Canaria and resident in Lanzarote who died in the early hours of Monday to Carnival Tuesday in Santa Cruz de Tenerife during a brawl.

Specifically, one of the detainees, a native of Gran Canaria and 19 years old, is accused of a crime of homicide for allegedly hitting the victim, while the second, from Gran Canaria and resident in Lanzarote, is accused of an alleged crime of injury. This has been confirmed by police sources to La Voz. For now, none of them have been brought to justice.

Isaac Trujillo died on March 4 after suffering an assault. He was rushed to the Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria University Hospital (HUNSC), but suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest on the way and paramedics could do nothing to save his life.

According to the newspaper La Provincia, agents from the Homicide Group of the Judicial Police Brigade are considering several hypotheses, including that there was an argument between Isaac's friends and those of the alleged murderer and that it ended in the fatal brawl.

Likewise, this same media has indicated that the second arrested also resided in Lanzarote and "would be part of Isaac's group of companions." For the moment, the investigation is trying to clarify if this second detainee was involved in the aggression and if he participated in more fights.

Preventive controls by the Local Police in Arrecife.
