The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Education Area, has closed this Tuesday the eighth edition of the School of Young Entrepreneurs (EJE) with the event 'Shared Successes', a participatory day held at the Víctor Fernández Gopar Theater "El Salinero", which brought together more than 300 students from different schools on the island.
Organized and starring the students themselves of the EJE, "Shared Successes" was consolidated as a space to showcase youth talent, celebrate the achievements of the course and share experiences that inspire other generations. During the event, the students demonstrated the skills acquired in recent months, such as leadership, creativity, critical thinking, communication or teamwork.
The island councilor of Education, Ascensión Toledo, valued the impact of the program on the youth of Lanzarote and thanked the students for their commitment. "This is a project that has been developing for eight years on our island to promote the growth and talent of young people between 14 and 18 years old," she stressed.
For her part, the co-founder of the project, Vanessa Marrero, said that witnessing the evolution of these young people is a unique privilege. "I am deeply proud of the work done and being able to see how they have developed the entire process is really exciting." "It is necessary to give personal development tools to young people is to sow the future," she concluded.
The event included the interventions of the tenor Pancho Corujo, the lawyer Magdalena Nieto, the creative and entrepreneur Miguel Lasso, the writer Ico Toledo and the nutritionist and businesswoman Ruth Mero, who shared their experiences and learnings to inspire young people to follow their vocations.
The meeting ended with a vibrant intervention by the choreographer Reinier Afonso, who brought the audience to their feet to celebrate the energy experienced during the morning.
The program, funded by the Education Area of the Cabildo and co-founded in the Canary Islands by the economist and mentor Vanessa Marrero Vázquez, has had the direct involvement of the trainer Anaraida Sánchez, who has accompanied the students on this training journey.
This year, young people between 14 and 17 years old from the IES Blas Cabrera Felipe, Altavista, Argana, Las Salinas, the CPEIPS Santa María de los Volcanes and other collaborating centers have participated.
The eighth edition of the School of Young Entrepreneurs has included 21 training sessions between January and May, and has been oriented to develop entrepreneurial skills, social values, self-knowledge and professional vocation.
The School of Young Entrepreneurs is thus consolidated as a reference space in training in skills for life, promoting an entrepreneurial attitude that allows new generations to become agents of change in their environment.
