The Lanzarote airport registered 745,331 passengers last month, 5.2% more than those who arrived in April last year, although it is true that Easter fell in the fourth month of the year this year.
All the Canary Islands airports accounted for a total of 4,589,804 passengers during the month of April, 9% more than the same month of 2024.
Of the total number of travelers registered, 4,568,281 correspond to passengers on commercial flights, of which 1,853,878 traveled on national flights, 8.5% more than in April last year, and 2,714,403 on international flights, increasing the figure for the same month of 2024 by 9.7%.
In addition, 40,330 aircraft movements were managed, 5.8% more, and 2,654 tons of goods were transported, 11.4% less than in April last year.
Traffic by airports and accumulated between January and April
The Gran Canaria Airport registered the highest number of passengers with 1,348,463, which represents an increase of 12.3% compared to the same month of 2024.
It is followed by the Tenerife South Airport, with 1,157,851 passengers and an increase of 5.4%. In Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna, 592,481 travelers were registered (+9.6%).
Fuerteventura completes the table, with 580,937 passengers (+14.2%); La Palma, with 129,102 (+9.4%); El Hierro, with 24,887 (+4.3%); and La Gomera, with 10,752 passengers (+14.1%).
So far this year, the Canary Islands airports have registered 18,733,561 travelers, 4.9% more than in the same period of 2024.
Of the 18,620,865 commercial passengers, 6,786,201 traveled on national flights, 4.5% more, and 11,834,664 did so on international flights, 5.4% more than the accumulated for the same period in the past year.
From January to April 2025, 164,450 aircraft movements were managed, 5.6% more, and 10,560 tons of goods transported were registered, 3.8% less than in 2024.
