The Cabildo of Lanzarote received this Monday a delegation of travel agents from Japan, to try to open up to the tourist market of that country. The "fam trip" was organized by the Tourism Institute of Spain (Turespaña), in collaboration with the promotion agencies of La Palma, Tenerife and Lanzarote, with the aim of showing "the natural charms of the Canary territory".
The president and Tourism Councilor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, met with these agents at a lunch held in one of the most emblematic Tourist Centers, the Jameos del Agua, "as part of the strategy for the diversification of markets and Premium alignment in which we are working from SPEL-Turismo de Lanzarote".
Corujo welcomed the visitors and conveyed to them "the ideas, projects and future goals that the Cabildo pursues in the search to improve the tourist quality of the Island and diversify the markets and profiles of tourists who visit Lanzarote".

"The Asian market is very interesting for our territory due to the little exploitation it still presents, the number of people that could be attracted and, above all, the profile of tourists who are looking for different, quiet places with an exclusive offer to spend their vacations", the president highlighted.
The agents' trip to the Island also includes visits to Lanzarote's landmarks, as well as an introduction to the gastronomy of Lanzarote, of great value to attract these tourists, and to the available hotel offer.
