Users of the website Aladinia.com have chosen Tenesar, in the municipality of Tinajo as one of the best destinations in Spain for paragliding. This Lanzarote town is part of the list of ten places chosen by Internet users.
The rest of the selected places in Spain are Santa María de Oia, in Galicia, Sopelana, in the Basque Country, Palomaret, in Valencia, the Sierra de Grazalema and Montellano in Andalusia, Benasque and Castejón de Sos in Aragon, Vall d'Àger in Catalonia and the Muela de Alarilla in Castilla la Mancha.
They emphasize that paragliding from Tenesar "allows an impressive view of the beautiful landscapes that surround the island, flying over the mouths of its volcanoes, its lava fields and the sea, discovering how the black and reddish terrains of the island merge with the blue of the Atlantic Ocean and the blue of the sky".
In addition, they explain that the experience offered by the company Lanzafly, allows combining in the same flight the coast of La Santa with the volcanic magma of the Timanfaya National Park.

Unlike paragliding, in hang gliding the sail is supported by an aluminum or titanium structure in whose center the pilot is suspended by means of a harness and normally adopts a lying position, directing the hang glider by means of pendular position changes with which it displaces the center of gravity.
The companion holds on by hugging the pilot. Taking advantage of the ascending air currents, the pilot can stay in flight for long periods and perform acrobatics.
