The Society for the Exterior Promotion of Lanzarote (SPEL) has launched a tender to have a communication and awareness strategy for ethical and responsible tourism in Lanzarote and La Graciosa before June 30.
The general objective pursued is to "promote responsible tourism and respect for the environment, promote knowledge of the particularities of the landscape and places of interest in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, and involve the local, business and visitor population in collaboration for the protection of the natural and historical legacy of the space," details the SPEL in the project report, which Ekonomus has had access to.
Specifically, it will publicize the fragility and uniqueness of the most characteristic places of Lanzarote and La Graciosa in order to involve visitors, both in destination and potential, the business community and the local population in their preservation.
It will also promote the care and protection of the architectural, landscape and natural heritage of Lanzarote and La Graciosa as a potential asset for sustainable growth and development.
In March, the offers received from companies for a project with a budget of one million euros will be opened.
The strategy will include awareness actions in "spaces available for public transport" and in "highly visible outdoor public spaces and in cities".
The project includes the generation and adaptation of content for social networks and web pages for a value of 200,000 euros, as well as marketing actions and with regional, national and international content creators, which total 85,000 euros.
It also foresees voice-over campaigns for 20,000 euros, insertion of editorial and advertising content for 16,000 and participation in fairs and promotions for 30,000 euros.
It will also include the production of a video worth 200,000 and the obtaining of visual resources for 15,000 euros.
