Lanzarote's vacation homes generated 7.5 million more than in 2023

They experienced almost full occupancy in December despite having an average rate 20.6% higher than twelve months before

97.2% of the 8,209 vacation homes available in Lanzarote last December were booked, according to the island's Data Center based on statistics from the Canary Islands Statistics Institute (ISTAC).

Thus, all the booked vacation homes on the island (7,980) raised 26.1 million euros last month, compared to the 18.5 million that entered in December of last year. Then 7,322 units were booked.

The average rate of the booked vacation homes increased by 26% compared to December 2023, to an average of 203 euros per night.

In the specific case of vacation homes with up to four places, the increase was also 26% in one year, up to 129 euros per night, while those with up to eight places increased their prices by 24.5% up to 284 euros.

Vacation homes in Lanzarote with more than eight places charged an average of 552 euros per night in December, 32% more than during the same month last year.

The average stay was 4.85 days this December, almost identical to that of last year when it was 4.83 days.
