Lanzarote receives 600,000 more British tourists than ten years ago between January and November

Arrivals from the United Kingdom now account for more than half of the island's total tourism, including domestic tourism

The British market has always had Lanzarote among its favorite destinations to spend their holidays and the figures are increasing year after year.

The share of British tourists in the total number of tourists, including domestic tourism, already equals 50.8% of the total.

Between January and November 2024, Lanzarote received more than 1.5 million visitors from the United Kingdom, specifically 1,564,947 people, according to the Lanzarote Data Center.

That's 150,000 more travelers than during the same months of 2023 and nearly 600,000 more than those who visited the island from the United Kingdom in 2014, when 970,105 were recorded during the same months.

With the figures recorded between January and November 2023, British tourism already accounts for more than half of the island's tourism, equivalent to 50.8%, not only of foreign tourism but in its entirety, including domestic tourism.

During the same months of 2023, British tourism accounted for 48.2% of the total, while ten years ago, in 2014, it was equivalent to 38.5%.
